I’m Astrid, Your Downsizing Doula
I wear many hats as a downsizing doula: those of a home organizer, writer and editor, coach, accountability buddy, and personal cheerleader. I currently split my time between Boston and Maine, and work with clients in both areas (and in between).
From childhood I loved keeping things in order—tidy, simple, easy to find. Organizing came naturally to me, as did writing and editing, listening to and coaching my friends, and helping my loved ones problem solve.
People can feel an array of emotions about their space—embarrassment, shame, fear, overwhelm—and I can relate. I have experienced them all myself and do not judge any of it. When I see clutter, I get excited because I see opportunity and multiple ways to meet the challenge. Helping clients work through their feelings and blocks around their stuff helps me in my own life. We are truly in it together, and I approach your home as a sacred space.
As a downsizing doula, I combine my experiences, interests, and skill sets to provide full-service assistance to each individual who works with me. Iam living the adage,
“Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.”
